Maurice Possley
Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and
New York Times best-selling author
He spent more 35 years as a journalist, 25 years at the Chicago Tribune. His reporting contributed to the exoneration of more than a dozen wrongly convicted men as well as the suspension of the death penalty in Illinois.
His investigative reporting also documented the executions of two innocent men in the state of Texas—Cameron Todd Willingham and Carlos DeLuna. He was among a team of Tribune journalists awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 2008 for documenting the U.S. government’s failure to prevent the deaths of children, including infants, from faulty and dangerous products such as cribs, car seats and toys.
In 2012, Possley became the senior researcher for the National Registry of Exonerations, the most comprehensive database of wrongly convicted men and women in the United States. By 2023, the Registry contained the accounts of nearly 3,400 wrongly convicted people—more than 2,500 written by Possley.
Possley, a California resident, is the author of five non-fiction books, including “Until I Could Be Sure: How I Stopped the Death Penalty in Illinois,” the memoir of Illinois Governor George Ryan.

Stacey Donovan
Award-winning book editor, ghostwriter, and author
Stacey Donovan, award-winning book editor, ghostwriter, and author, has guided manuscripts from first draft to final publication for over twenty-five years. Spanning nearly all genres, her edited and ghostwritten titles have achieved New York Times, USA Today, and Amazon bestseller status, and regional and international recognition.
A novelist too, Stacey is an expert at immersing herself in her clients’ vision, tapping unexamined themes, and sensing how to highlight an author’s authentic voice while helping them polish their books for release. She delves into beguiling plot twists, difficult characters, unreliable narrators, and leads writers to their eureka moments—those that ultimately appeal to and excite today’s readers.
Stacey’s young adult novel, Dive, was critically acclaimed for its complexity and depth in the portrayal of a teenage girl facing her father’s death, a best friend’s betrayal, and a life-changing romance between her and a female classmate. Readers of all ages consistently praise Dive for its distinct voice and lyricism.
Stacey also authored The Art of Loneliness, an erotic novella, and co-authored the Red Shoe Diaries four-book series based on Zalman King’s sexy Showtime drama.
She isn’t shy and welcomes the opportunity to work with all subject matter, including that which might be deemed challenging or controversial in any genre.
Meryl Moss
Founder & President of Meryl Moss Media Group
Meryl Moss is founder and president of Meryl Moss Media Group, a literary media relations and marketing firm that for 25 years has been promoting and branding authors and their books through media exposure, speaking engagements, social media and creative marketing solutions.
The firm specializes in working with first-time authors, as well as those who are established and looking for a seasoned group of professionals to take them to the next level. Meryl Moss Media Group is proud to work with authors book after book, the best compliment there is.
Like many new ideas, Meryl Moss created BookTrib.com on a napkin. When traditional media outlets started reducing their coverage of books and authors, Meryl put a stake in the ground with a website featuring under-the-radar authors who deserved to be noticed, and that readers would enjoy discovering – whether debut writers, midlist or even occasional bestsellers. Rather than focus on the household names you read about everywhere, BookTrib.com’s mantra is to give voice to those authors that really need to be heard – and read.
