Manuscript Assessment
The first step in the process is the manuscript assessment program.
One of our editors will read your manuscript and write a full report.
We will discuss the changes we feel are necessary to improve your book and get it ready for market.

Five Steps to Continue

Once the manuscript comes back from assessment we go over the edits with you. With your approval we work on getting changes integrated into your manuscript
Creative session is arranged where you tell our team what the book is about so we can create your front and back cover design.
Cover designs come back from our team and another meeting is scheduled to discuss the designs.
Interior designs are presented and approved.
Digital proofs are provided for approval.

The following elements are included in our publishing program to create a print book and an e-book from a manuscript up to approximately 125,000 words formatted for a 6x9 trade paperback.

Publishing Basics:

Books in Two Formats: We create a printed trade paperback and an e-book. Additional options are available if you want a hardcover or audiobook.
ISBN and UPC Barcode: We acquire the necessary publishing tracking codes that appear on the back of every book that is created.
Copyright Registration: We will submit a copyright application for your book.
You are the Publisher: We provide guidance and advice on creating a publishing company, including how to integrate your new business into an already existing business, or becoming a new entity.
Creating a Publishing Imprint Logo: We help you determine the name of your new publishing company imprint and create an attractive logo in typeface to go with it.
Copyediting and Proofreading: Clean copy is the mark of a professional book. We include one round of copyediting and proofreading for your manuscript.

Formatting & Design

Front Cover Design: Your book’s front cover is what readers see first. Designing a professional, original and compelling cover is the most important part of your book.

Back Cover Copy and Design: Your back cover is the billboard to get readers to buy your book. We provide professional graphic design as well as specialize in dynamic back cover copy to engage readers.

Interior Book Design: Including –

Front matter formatting, such as indicia, title page, dedication, TOC, etc.
Chapter, header and footer design and formatting
End matter formatting, including pages about the author and acknowledgements

Short and Long Book Descriptions for Retailers: We write descriptions that are key elements in the production process. We excel at creating marketing copy to describe your new book.

Short and Long Author Bios: You provide us with your background, and we create a captivating portrait of you as an author.

Author Photo: We advise you on choosing a photo that complements your book.

Digital Files: We do all the work of creating digital files for printing.

Merchandising Advice: We advise you on book pricing and sales options and share our best practices from decades of experience.

Proofing: We check all eProof files.

Creating a POD (Print on Demand) Book

Distribution Channels:
We set up book distribution through Ingram Book Group. Ingram will make your book available to distribution partners, including Amazon, B&N, Chapters/Indigo (Canada) and many other well-known retailers and wholesalers in North America, UK, Europe, Australia & New Zealand. This includes:

1. Establish Publisher's Account - Bank, TIN, etc.

2. Create Title (enter title information for publishing)

3. Establish Categories and Keywords

4. Upload Files

5. Approve eProof files

6. Provide Sales Reporting

Amazon Author Central Account:

1. Inputting author information, including bio, photos, twitter, blog, events, video, etc.

2. Uploading editorial reviews

3. We provide personal phone support
